The "Shamana" poncho is hand painted on sueded creped de chine. This is a luxurious fabric with a velvety texture and soft sheen. It begs to be touched! The bias collar is lined and inset into the center front. A silver Zuni heart line bear weights the bias and allows it to drape beautifully.
This circular poncho can be worn in so many different ways: the cowl draped high on the neck with the back hem lengthened and the front shortened, worn balanced with the collar draped in deep folds in front to elongate the neck, the weighted collar can be tucked inside for a less formal look and finally, worn sideways, asymmetrically, with the bias inset worn across the shoulder line. It can be combined with a sweater or turtleneck in cool weather or a cami or tee in summer.
I can proportion this for a petite frame or lengthen it for the taller woman. Colors can be subtle and muted or brilliant on request.
